RESIDENT EVIL 5
Resident Evil has been my absolute favorite game series for a very long time. When I was a young pre-teen,
me and my cousin and friends would play through RE1 and RE2. We got scared out of our wits, we fell in love
with the storyline and the characters, we goofed about it affectionately, and we loved every moment of it.
And that never changed for me! I stayed with the series, got the new games when they came out and loved them
all, too. I went through the excitement for waiting for a new game, and RE5 was no exception. It was bringing
Chris back! And settling his rivalry with Wesker, as well as bring huge revelations as to how everything first
began in the RE world.
I went to a midnight release for the game, marathoned it and fell instantly in love with
it. ... even over a month and a half later (when I was approved for this FL) I am still going strong
and playing the hell out of it. It quickly became one of my favorites, so I am so honored to run the fanlisting
for it, too - the staff at TFL has my endless thanks for that.
SONNENTREPPE
After some thinking on the name, I settled on Sonnentreppe. It means "Stairway to the Sun" in German, and is
the name of the flower discovered in the game that held the Progenitor Virus in it. I wanted a name that
focused on the series as a whole, and considering the flower and much of the information surrounding it
turned out to be the roots of the series (UNINTENDED PUN!), I thought it fit well.
LAYOUT
Or rather, layouts. RE5 is such a big thing to me, so I absolutely could not decide
what to do for a layout and make it seem like a good, overall choice. The obvious solution to that, of
course, was to make a different layout for each section. Featuring Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar, the Sonnentreppe flowers
in the underground ruins, Albert Wesker, the "mysterious" cloaked woman, a group of Majini and Ozwell Spencer.
DISCLAIMER
Resident Evil 5 is all Capcom's. I am but a humble fan running a fanlisting.
